Gears of war can only be described as the best 3rd person shooter ever made with so much packed into one game.

The locust horde has risen and you are the last hope for the little that remains on earth. You are Marcus Fenix, once left to die, now in charge of keeping what's left of humanity alive.

Gears Of War's single player campaing will take you on a dark evil and cinematic experience. The graphics and detail in this game are great and gameplay is truely addictive. You will battle through five chapters of mayhem and bloodshed with three team mates and alot of nasty weapons to help you along the way. There will be times in the game where you have multiple choices for example go left or right which in turn will narrow your group down to two. The weapons in this game are all alot of fun in their own way but you can't go past the chainsaw, there's nothing better than racing up to an enemy and cutting them into pieces, it's very satisfying. The enemys in this game are pretty sweet too, a person favourite has to be the berserker, a huge blind monster that will hunt you down on smell.

One of the things that make Gears Of War such a sucess has to be the multi player, it's just so much fun. The mutiplayer games are team based and are basically good vs bad, COG (the good guys) vs Locusts (the bad guys). The general idea of pretty much all of the game types is to wipe out the other team befor they can wipe your team out. There are no respawns in muti player on Gears Of War which is a bit strange normally but it works really well for this game. The multi player has to be the highlight of Gears Of War becuase you can just keep on playing and you won't get bored, it's that much fun. There are some fun ways to kill your enemys online rather than just shooting somebody and killing them, why not stick a grenade on someones back and run, great fun. There are tons of maps for Gears Of War that you can play online each with their own different style and weapons.

Gears Of War is worth checking out for anybody who loves an addictive violent shooter game with great online play. They don't do games much better than this so check it out.
